Vincent Walsh, Jr. and Kristina Miller
Here's how we met
We began talking to one another through social networking, then we met up for our fist date about a month later. The rest, as they say, is history.
Here's how we got engaged
It happened on Christmas Eve. We had just gotten done allowing his children to open their gifts from us, and I began cleaning up all of the wrapping paper and boxes, Vince got down on one knee and said, "There's only one thing that will make this Christmas complete for me." He then produced a beautiful ring and asked me to marry him.
Why we're excited about our wedding date
The wedding will be close to his family, which we're both very happy about since he doesn't get to see them very often. It's also going to be a winter wedding, and I personally am hoping for a white one. Nothing would make me happier than to get some wedding photos on the Atlantic City Pier while it's covered in snow!
Our worst date
There have been many times when we have planned dates that fell through because he had to watch kids at the last minute or I've gotten called into work. Our "date nights" never really began to pan out until we moved in together back in Spetember to be perfectly honest.
Our best date
Our best date was probably the first time I invited Vince over and cooked for him. I made us a wonderful meal and we watched a movie, after which we sat in the living room almost all night and just talked. There was no particular topic. We just talked about anything that came to mind. It was the first night I realized just how interested I was in Vince.
Who's the better cook, and why?
I am definitely the better cook, and Vince will totally back me on this. Although, I will admit, he makes a mean breakfast and some pretty awesome pizza rolls. :)
Where our likes overlap ...
We both love the same kinds of music and artists. We both have a mutual love of wrestling. We both enjoy the same types of TV shows, which is basically anything on History, Discovery, H2, ID, or The Science Channel. We both enjoy the same kinds of movies (mostly comedies), and particulalrly anything Kevin Smith has had a hand in creating.
... and where they don't.
I don't think there's really anything that we're total opposites on. I'd say he's a much bigger Batman fan than I am, and I think I probably watch way more cooking shows than I should (or than he'd like to see on the TV).
